Modern Vehicles

I've done samples of four modern vehicles for my Cuties.  These are based on three of the models I bought recently.

My intention it to use them to play Tank on Tank modified to a square grid.

A Woodpecker self propelled anti aircraft vehicle.  This one is not modified in any way.  I got seven of these, but I only need one SPAA for now.

The Moggy II tank.  This is the turret from the M1 model placed on the SPAA hull.  I had six M1s, which uses all the remaining SPAA hulls and left me six M1 hulls to play with.

I made a small turret and a mould from it and cast six of them.

Added to the M1 hull this gives me six Bumpy 3 infantry fighting vehicles.

And finally, a QT74 tank.  This is the model I bought with no modification.

To complete this project I need to do the following :

1. Paint the rest of the vehicles I have.

2. Make a different IFV so both sides have one.

3. Make a different SPAA for the same reason.

4.  Provide both sides with artillery.

5. Make infantry for both sides.

6. Make ATGM units for both sides (to take the role of anti tank guns in the original game)

That should keep me busy for a while. :)

Steam Powered Vehicle

In the pack of vehicles I ordered to go with my Cuties I has an armoured car model which I really like but which doesn't fit in with my plans for the other vehicles.  I decided to make it a steam powered armoured car to go with my 19th Century Imagi-Nations.

First Aircraft Completed

I painted up the first of my aircraft and made a flight stand for it.

I'm ridiculously pleased with the result. :)

Sumerian Tank

Egged on by people who should know better on The Wargames Website I converted a T34 into some armoured support for my Sumerians.  I'm quite pleased with the result.  In game terms it's armed with a ballista, the armour is hardened cowhide and it moves via the crew turning hand cranks (Cuties have a lot of upper body strength).

Tanks!

Today I got some model tanks in the post.  They were a bit of a speculative purchase, while I liked the style of the one I saw online I had no idea if they would match the size of my Cuties.

The set I received had eight different vehicles in it, all of which should be usable with my cuties though some will require more work than others.  The cost per vehicle is around 50 pence. :)

Cutie Aircraft 2

I made a bomber to go with the fighter and started working towards the final shape for both with Milliput.

I'll complete this stage later today then let them harden for a couple of days before sanding them to smooth out the irregularities and then add final details with Green Stuff.  Well, that's the plan anyway. :)
